About Our Doctors:
All of our doctors are Licensed Clinical Psychologists with varied backgrounds. Each provider is a general practitioner treating such common diagnoses as anxiety and depression. However, most doctors also have specific areas of interest and expertise.
Dr. Burijon works with numerable types of diagnoses. He works with people ages 5 and up in individual, couples, or family therapy. Dr. Burijon treats alcoholism, anger management, anxiety, couples issues, learning disabilities, mood disorders, anxiety, phobias and school-related problems. He also does multiple types of testing including: gifted and talented, learning disabilities, educational, intellectual and personality testing.
Dr. Crim has a background in numerous adjustment-related problems. These include but are not exclusive to relationship and couples' issues, addictions (such as pathological gambling and smoking) and depression. She also treats anger, stress and weight management, assertiveness and communication skills. Dr. Crim is also a skilled hypnotherapist and biofeedback specialist. Dr. Crim also frequently treats self-esteem, mood disorders and anxiety disorders. Furthermore, spirituality may be incorporated into the counseling process when requested. Dr. Crim treats those over the age of 12 in individual, couples, and family therapy.
Dr. Elion has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, couples and individual adults. He does counseling for school and behavioral problems, anxiety, depression, poor motivation, self-esteem and issues related to separation and divorce. As a forensic psychologist, Dr. Elion offers evaluations for custody determination and alleged abuse/neglect, competency evaluations, Fitness for Duty Evaluations and Law Enforcement Agency Consultations. He also treats issues such as chronic illness, phobias, compulsive disorders, pain control and neuropsychological testing.
Dr. Kuhlman treats numerous diagnoses. These include but are not limited to clients suffering from brain damage injury and/or substance abuse. he also works on neuro-rehabilitation, dual diagnosis, anxiety, depression, PSTD, and geriatric therapy. Dr. Kahlman works with individuals and/or groups of 18 years of age and older.
Dr. Marquis provides individual psychotherapy services to adults (age 18 and over) for a variety of issues. These include depression, anxiety, relationships, self-esteem, adult attention deficit disorder (ADD), adult children of alcoholics (ACOA), codependence issues and substance abuse. She also works with panic disorders, death and grief, health issues and mood disorders.
Dr. Murdock specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families. She works very frequently with depression, anxiety, and attention deficit disorder (ADD). She is also well versed in treating adults with mood disorders and with divorce or separation issues.
Dr. Ruxer has a background in behavioral medicine and cognitive therapy with adolescents and adults in individual, group, and family therapy. Hypnosis and biofeedback are often provided for such issues as weight control, smoking cessation, phobias, sleep problems, headaches and stress management. Dr. Ruxer frequently works with workman's compensation cases and pain management as well.
Dr. Tunick works with numerous types of disorders. He treats depression, anxiety, phobias, relaxation training, work related issues etc. Dr. Tunick does individual, group, family, and couples therapy for people 12 years of age and up.
Elizabeth A Berendt, Psy. D.
Dr. Berendt works with children, adolescents, adults and families presenting with a wide range of issues to include: attention difficulties, depression, anxiety, childhood/adolescent behavior difficulties, trauma, substance use, chronic stressors, and coping with pediatric medical conditions. Dr. Berendt conducts individual, play and family therapy, as well as psychological and psycho-educational testing. She has a special interest in stress reduction training to help individuals lead balanced lives. She also enjoys working with women during periods of pre-natal and post-natal adjustment. Additionally, she has training in integrating spiritual issue with therapy, and will do so upon request. Dr. Berendt has a strengths-based approach to treatment, and seeks to help each individual live his or her best life.
Stacey M Rumerman, Psy. D.
Dr. Rumerman has extensive experience conducting individual, group, couples, and play therapy. Dr. Rumerman has a special interest in assessment and conducts psychological testing to assist with differential diagnoses. Dr. Rumerman’s treatment interests include severe mental illness, women’s health issues, reproductive health, anxiety, adjustment, and relationship concerns. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages.

Dr. Curtas has a background in forensic psychology and cognitive therapy working with children, adolescents, and adults in individual, couples, family, and group therapy. She treats trauma, mood disorders, substance abuse, anger management, and anxiety. She also provides educational and personality testing.

Dr. Conner-Jeffers has experience treating a wide variety of disorders for children and adults. She provides individuals psychotherapy, play therapy, as well as group psychotherapy. Dr Conner-Jeffers treats mood disorders, anxiety, anger management, learning disabilities, ADHD, school-related problems, behavior problems and parenting issues. She is also experienced in working with addictions, self-esteem issues, problems related to separation and divorce, grief, personality and relationship problems, women's issues, trauma and PTSD. Dr. Conner-Jeffers also has interests in gay & lesbian psychology and enjoys working with individuals struggling with sexual identity issue. In addition, spirituality may be incorporated into the therapy process for individuals who request or desire this aspect. As well as providing psychotherapy, Dr. Conner-Jeffers conducts psychological testing for both adults and children.
Martina Pavlicek, Psy. D.
Dr. Pavlicek provides psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families, with a special emphasis on young children (2yrs. +). She treats a wide variety of issues including: anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, attachment issues, attention problems, autism-spectrum disorders, anger management, stress management, trauma, and dissociative disorders. Dr. Pavlicek has a special interest in issues related to health psychology, particularly in helping children and families cope with chronic illness. She also has extensive experience in conducting psychological assessments, including psycho-education and differential diagnostic testing.
Alicia Slavis, Psy. D.
Dr. Slavis provides individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. She has received specialized training in child and adolescent psychology and works with a wide range of issues, including separation anxiety, sleep issues, social skill deficits, ADHD, school refusal, and parenting issues. Dr. Slavis also has extensive experience in the treatment of OCD, OCD-spectrum disorders, panic disorder, phobias, and other anxiety disorders. She is also experienced in providing psychological and psychoeducational evaluations. Dr. Slavis utilizes a cognitive-behavioral approach, but also integrates other approaches to best meet a client's needs.
